Testimonial 1:

Dear Bindi

I just want to say how motivating and helpful the life coaching you gave me has been.  It came at exactly the right time, when I was feeling a bit stuck and knowing I needed to make some choices about my work but not knowing how to focus or move forward.

I found you very warm and approachable and willing to offer me support whenever I needed it.  Sometimes we just need a word of encouragement and reassurance that we are making progress.  You were certainly always very encouraging and offered your time and support virtually 24\7!

It has been a few weeks now since our last session and I have made some important changes and I now know that I am going in the right direction.

Thank you so much.

Testimonial 2:

I was living from day to day without seeing the actual progress that I was making. Feeling trapped, I could not see that the incremental changes that I was already making were constantly bringing me forward.

With encouragement, I am starting to see that my efforts are meaningful, and that every step I make brings me closer to my goals.

Working with Bindi, I have been able to see the bigger picture in my life. Whereas normally I think in terms of my current situation, Bindi has helped me to look past that and see that in x-number of months I will be at a new point in my life and a better situation. Such gentle encouragement is helping me gain a new perspective.

Hello Everyone,

I hope you have all had a good week. It has definitely been an eventful one for those of us in the UK, with the results of the election still not certain. One thing is certain though – there will be a change.

A change is always welcome in my world. Even small changes can be significant in people’s lives and it is amazing seeing the positive outcomes which people can make with a little coaching to help them along the way. If you are interested in making some changes or would like to recommend to a friend, I have an all-inclusive monthly coaching package. This means Ayurveda health advice, meditation classes and as many life coaching sessions as you need in the month – all for £150.

The main event in my life this month was the LIFEstival which I co-organised with Amanda (D-Stress & Go). It was a fantastic event with exhibitors and the public alike enjoying the weekend. Over £700 was raised for the amazing charity Chestnut Tree House Hospice for Children: http://www.chestnut-tree-house.org.uk. I visited the hospice a few weeks ago and they really do a wonderful job with supporting the parents of the children and allowing the children to have some time for fun and play.

Thank you to everyone who supported us and the charity by attending the LIFEstival and to all our fantastic exhibitors.

As the topic of this week is change, I would like you to take a few moments out of your day to think about what you would change. Once you have something, think of the necessary steps it would take for you to make this change. Finally feel what it would be like once the change is made. If it is a real change then the feeling you get will be very heartfelt and the desire will drive you forward to make the change.

If you would like to discuss this more, please get in touch with me,

Have a lovely week,

Bindi

Welcome to Spring!

The weather here has definitely warmed up, the days are longer and there is a spring in people’s steps.
It is truly wonderful being by the sea in this season.

Welcome to all my new subscribers whom I met at the ‘Spirit of the Millenium’ show in Hove last Sunday. It was wonderful meeting you all and I hope you had as an enjoyable day as I did.

The last month has been one of immense growth for me. The results my students have had from the meditation classes and workshops have amazed them – I’m pleased that so many people have embraced meditation and it is wonderful what a difference it is making to their lives. That is what my ‘live the life you dream of..’ programme is all about. It doesn’t have to be the big dreams which make a difference to your life…the everyday lessening of chatter and worry can be all the change you need to really make a difference to your life and so starting living the life you dream of… which may in essence be the same life but simpler!

With simpler in mind, please do check my blog out for making your e-mail life easier. A lot of us are tending to become more and more inundated with e-mails as technology progresses and more of our networks start being online. I have written seven ways to make e-mails easier so do take a look at the blog and add your comments: http://anamaya.net/Blog/?p=261

Thank you to all of you for spreading the word about the LIFEstival, the health and well-being show in Saltdean 1-2 May 2010, I look forward to seeing you there and if you’d like one of the stands please get in touch. 50% of all our proceeds will be to the Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice, who provide much-needed care and support for families when a child develops a life-limiting illness. For more information see the website www.lifestivaluk.com.

I thought I’d end on a meditation to truly still the mind as that has been the focus in the last month.

Take a few moments to get comfortable, so roll your shoulders back and relax your arms. Then when you’re ready start observing your breath. You don’t need to take deep or long breaths, but just observe and be aware of the way you are breathing. Is your breath hurried? Is it regular? Is this the first time you have ever thought ot your breath? As you start becoming more aware of your breathing, relax and let go of any tension you have. Gradually start taking deeper breaths and then slower breaths, especially on the exhalations. Keep all your focus on the breath, letting other thoughts go. Keep with this breathing meditation until your mind feels calmer and more at ease.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone and enjoy the March sunshine :)

Making your e-mail life easier :)

In CategoryGeneral, news
ByBindi

I wrote a short tip on clearing e-mails once a week last weekend on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/AnamayaLifeCoaching) and it seems to have struck a chord with a few people so am writing a longer blog on a few ways of how I am making my e-mail life easier and hopefully it will do the same for you:)

1. Turn off the sound indication that an e-mail has arrived in your inbox. The sound will distract you away from whatever it was you were working on, even if you do not check your inbox immediately.

2. If you can, have an e-mail time daily of when you check and reply to e-mails -this way you do not constantly check and reply during the day.

If it is too short for you to just have one hour during the day, then do one hour/30 mins in the morning and one hour/30 mins in the evening.

3. Do a weekly deep cleanse if any e-mails are still in your inbox which need replying to, need filing or just need deleting.

4. When you have set aside e-mail time, it will be easier for you to reply back immediately to an e-mail when you have read it instead of dealing with it later.

5. If there is nothing you can do with the e-mail, i.e. a marketing e-mail/offer you do not want, then delete it straight away and stop it clogging your inbox and cluttering your mind :)

6. Once you have replied to an e-mail then file it.

Review your filed e-mails monthly/quarterly to make sure your computer is working at the optimal speed and you do not have too many saved e-mails which are slowing the computer down.

7. If you are subscribed to too many e-mail newsletters and do not get the chance to read them, then unsubscribe. If that person/newsletter is meant to be in your life, you will get the chance to subscribe again in the future.

I hope these tips help you a bit and if you have your own, then please do add them to the comments – it is always good to know what people do to simplify their e-mail lives and this can help everyone:)

Happy New Year!

Well it is back to snowing in Saltdean so I thought I would keep the snow scene picture :)

I hope that everyone had a wonderful, relaxing break over Christmas and are recharged for a great 2010 with a lot of personal and professional growth.

To make your growth run smoothly I have developed my ‘Live the Life you Dream of…’ programme which starts in February.

It has always been my aim from when I completed my diploma in Life Coaching to combine the knowledge of Ayurveda and Meditation I learnt in Coimbatore, India with the techniques of life coaching. The programme will run over 10 weeks with a group coaching call once a week and individual e-mails according to your goal or aim.

The first enrolment is 1st February, for full details of the programme please see http://www.anamaya.net/Web/Pages/Programme.html

I am also running a Saturday meditation workshop on Visualising 2010 & Beyond this month. It is on 23rd January and is your chance to totally immerse yourself in where you want to be in 2010 in order to manifest it :) Please e-mail me directly to book: bindi@anamaya.net

With all this wintry weather, I thought I would recommend a warming breathing exercise called Suryabheda. Surya means sun in Sanskrit and the inhalations are done via the right nostril which relates to the sun. The left nostril is closed and the breath taken in by the right nostril; the breath is retained briefly and then exhaled from the left nostril.

This breath will be heating for the body. Contra-indications are if you have heart disease, high blood pressure or epilepsy. Please do ask if you have questions on it and I will be happy to demonstrate the breath to you via webcam/skype.

Have a wonderful week, keep warm :) and I hope to see you soon,

Hello Everyone,

Well it feels as though we are truly into winter with this cold chill we’re experiencing. I hope you are all managing to keep warm  :-) It hasn’t snowed here yet, but I know it has for some of you already.

This time of year is always one of reflection for me, for what has gone on in the year just past and anticipation for the year ahead. I hope that you can find the time to do the same and make 2010 a great year for yourself. It really is the time to set those aims and goals and see yourself grow professionally and personally.

To make things easier for you I have two teleworkshops on goal setting for you in early January. Both the teleworkshops will run through realising, setting and achieving your goals. There will be a recording if you cannot make the call ‘live’.
Please e-mail teleworkshops@anamaya.net to register.

I am also starting the ‘Live the Life you Dream of..’ programme in February.
This is a 10 week programme designed to guide you through the techniques and processes you need to achieve the goal or aim you have.
It is a group coaching call and we will look at values, limiting beliefs, setting goals effectively and any blocks which may be occurring within you to not realise your dream.
You will gain insight and assistance to attain the objective you have set yourself.
The programme costs £150 and there are two start dates of Monday 1st February and Thursday 4th February. E-mail or call me to discuss or register your interest.

A reminder that the ‘early bird’ price for stands for the LIFEstival ends on 31st Dec so if you have not already booked your stand, then please do so soon.

The LIFEstival for those of you new to my newsletter will be held at the Saltdean Community Centre, Saltdean, Brighton on the weekend of 1-2 May 2010. We are bringing together health, well-being and holistic experts from around the area under one roof for a weekend of talks, demonstrations, stalls and of course lots of fun.
50% of all proceeds are going to the Chestnut Tree House Hospice for Children: http://www.chestnut-tree-house.org.uk.

Well as we go into the season of good cheer, I know a few of you are having people around and want some relaxation you can do instantly when it gets a bit too noisy or hectic for you.

Deep breathing exercise:
By exhaling longer than we inhale, we instantly relax our mind and body.

Inhale for a count of 5 and then exhale for a count of 10 or as near to 10 as you can get. Keep repeating this breath until you start feeling a sense of calm.

On the final note of the last newsletter of 2009 I’d like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas – have a lot of fun, laughter and merriment :-) and the fulfilment of what you wish for or dream of in 2010!

November Newsletter

Hello Everyone,

Well it is November and time to change the sunny picture of Saltdean to a more autumnal one! It is a picture of the full moon earlier this week from our window. The weather has definitely been windy up here on our hill and the sea extremely rough. It’s time for those lovely, winter evenings in front of the fire!

Autumn is also my season to look forward to planning the next year, before time is taken up by Christmas festivities. If there are any goals which you have in mind for 2010 but want to know the best ways of wording them for effective achievement, then why not enrol on my Goal Setting teleworkshop on 25th November? The teleworkshop has a dial-in number to call or you can listen by webcast. I’ll be going through the following points:

1. Realising what your goals are: looking at your values, beliefs and work/life balance amongst other things.
2. Setting your goals: SMART criteria and breaking the goal down.
3. Achieving your goals: things which can help you achieve the goal effectively.

The teleworkshop is just £10 which also includes a 15 minute individual coaching session on the topic.
Please e-mail teleworkshops@anamaya.net to register.

The registrations are going well for the LIFEstivalhttp://www.lifestivaluk.com

As some of you may know my aunt passed away last week and it has been leading me to think that we should all make the most of our lives and really be living to our full potential. Life is definitely too short to do the mundane and if you have a dream you would like to come true please contact me and I’ll be offering the first 5 people a free one hour coaching session each.

I would also like to give you a peace meditation which you can do at your desk or when you have a few minutes free. This simple peace affirming meditation will bring more peace and calm into your life.

Peace meditation:
Close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing. Try to exhale for longer than you inhale to relax yourself more and do all the breathing through the nose. Once your breath has become steady, say the word PEACE to yourself. You can say it as fast or as slow as you wish. Think of the meaning of peace and start feeling the meditation and the calmness within you which you’ll start to feel. Do this for as long as you want and give me some feedback on how you did! I look forward to hearing from you.
